3 Simple hacks to fix iOS 10’s threaded emails.
Apple threaded emails in iOS 10’s Mail app, has us perplexed. Like, why are the oldest message on the top of the thread and what up with the scrolling? To resolve this, we have 3 simple hacks to fix this.
- iOs 10 mail, most recent emails on top
Move most recent email to the top Go to Settings > Mail > Threading. Turn on “Most recent message on top.”
- How to sort complete threads
If you have multiple mailboxes and want to see more than just messages you’ve received. Go to Settings > Mail > Threading, you can turn on the “complete threads” to view all threaded conversations in chronological order, regardless of which mailbox they’re in.
- Turn off Mail threads altogether
If you can’t stand threading and would rather sort through related emails using Mail’s convenient, search function, go to Settings > Mail > Threading and turn off “Organize by thread.” There are great features in iOS 10 that make Mail useful, such as the unsubscribe option that auto-responds to junk email on your behalf and a new filtering shortcut.
While email threads will take some getting used to, checking out your options in Settings > Mail will make them a whole lot easier to manage.
- And the settings you can’t change…
It’s no longer possible to delete all messages in a folder except Junk or Trash. But mass deleting is still possible to do this go to Edit > Delete All, when in different mailbox folder, you’ll have to mark all and then move to Trash.
