These days, keeping your kids safe can be easier than telling them to “be home at 6” and hope for the best. Apple Watches can now assist you with keeping tabs on your child and having peace of mind knowing where they are, and that you can get notifications if they’re in a bind.
With Apple’s Family Sharing, you don’t need an iPhone paired to an Apple Watch to have it be able to call, message, review health stats, GPS tracking, the Emergency SOS feature, Fall detection and Noise Notifications. However, you DO need iPhone 6 or later (running iOS 14 or later) and Apple Watch 4 or later with cellular capabilities.Through these devices, you’ll need Family Sharing set up with each family member needing their own Apple ID.
The Apple Watch has many features to keep an eye on your beloved kiddo – not only can you see where they are, phone them, track their health, heart rate and more, but you can also set schedules for them, making it impossible for their watch to distract them during schooltime or study time. Currently, Apple Watches also have a 20-second automatic timer for washing your hands! It detects when you’re washing your hands and tells you when you’re done. That’s neat for the little ones.
And while it’s a family safety thing, it doesn’t have to be lame – Each watch can be customised to everyone’s individual tastes, be it Spiderman or Mickey Mouse. There’s plenty of watch faces, straps, settings and more!
