The short answer to this question is yes! But that would be uninteresting, and you would learn almost nothing. So, below is the longer answer – the explanation on how to do it.

You can actually find any of your Apple devices through another, whether you are looking for your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or even AirPods, you can use the Find My iPhone app to do it. The Find My iPhone app will need to be enabled on the device you are trying to locate if you want this to work.

To locate your missing iPad from an iPhone, go to the Find My iPhone app and log in to your iCloud account. You will see a list of your devices with green, grey or blue dot next to them. The green dot means the device is still online, the grey dot means it is offline and the blue dot will be next to the device you are using to find the other device/s.

Tap on the device you are looking for from the list and its location will be revealed on the map if it is online. You will also have the option to play a sound, turn the lost mode on or erase your iPad. If you play a sound, a high-pitched noise will sound from the device, allowing you to find it easily. When you’ve turned on lost mode, the device will be locked with a passcode, you will be able to display a message on the lock screen, and the device’s location will be constantly tracked. The ability to make payments from the phone will also be blocked.

If all else fails and you are unable to get to your device, you can erase it. This will erase the entire iPad and you will no longer be able to locate it but you will remove all your data from the device.
Hopefully, this helps you find your device and you can get it back safely. It is always a relief when you find your device intact and untampered with. Always remember to keep it as safe as possible so you don’t have to be in a situation where you will need to locate it from another device.
