We all love a good hack, especially one that we didn’t even know we needed and can’t live without! If you’ve ever felt frustrated scrolling through TikTok while your hands are busy with food or a messy project and you don’t want to get your dirty hands on your phone, this one’s for you!

Setting Up Voice Control

With the handy Voice Control feature, you can navigate and interact with your device using your voice to tap, swipe, type, and more. You will, however, need iOS 13 or later or iPadOS to use this feature.

“Before you can use Voice Control, a file download is required. Once the download is complete, you don’t need a wi-fi connection to use Voice Control. It’s recommended that you connect to WiFi before turning on Voice Control for the first time,” Apple states on its website.

After you’ve set up the feature, open the Settings app, and navigate to Accessibility > Voice Control > Customise Commands. Select Create New Command… and in the phrase box, enter a speakable phrase of your choice, such as “next”.

Tap Action and select Run Custom Gesture. Swipe up on your display. You should leave behind a short blue line on the screen. Tap Save.

Next, head into Application and select TikTok and you’re all set! Whenever you have TikTok open, speaking your selected command word aloud will cause the app to scroll down to the next video.

While accessibility features are primarily designed to help out the mentally or physically impaired, they’re handy to able-bodied users, too.

Let us know if you’ve tried this hack!
