Installing the app
The first thing you will need to do is navigate to the App Store and search for “WhatsApp” under the “Search” menu, located at the bottom right of the App Store. Tap “Get” next to the app and then tap “Install” on the pop-up. The app will then install, and you will be able to find it on your home screen or open it straight from the App Store by tapping “Open”.
Setting up the app
Once you open WhatsApp, you will need to grant access to your contacts so that they can be synced. You will also be asked to confirm various other features such as allowing notifications. You can accept or reject as you see fit. You will also need to accept the Terms of Service.
After clicking on “Agree & Continue”, you will need to confirm your country code and cell phone number. By clicking “Done” you will receive an SMS with a code to enter into the screen that pops up. This will finish the setup process.
