Your iPhone earphones don’t simply function like any other. There are actually quite a few nifty tricks that you probably don’t know about. Here’s what you can do with the seemingly simple accessory.

1. To play a song
Press the centre button once.
2. To pause the song
Press it once more.
3. To skip to the next song
Press the centre button twice (quickly).
4. To start a song again or go to the previous track
Press the centre button thrice (quickly).
5. To fast forward through a song
Double click and hold the centre button.
6. To rewind through a song
Triple click and hold on the last click.
7. To activate Siri
Press and hold the centre button.
8. To take a photo
Press on either of the volume buttons.
9. To answer a phone call
Press the centre button once.
10. To answer another call
Press the centre button once to switch to the next call while putting the previous caller on hold.
11. To skip the incoming call
Hold the centre button.
12. To ignore a call
Press and hold the centre button.
13. To hang up
Hit the centre button once.
