Zoom calls are a very popular choice for video conferencing during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Zoom uses your computer’s built-in camera to showcase you and your surroundings.
Appearing as yourself in your normal office, bedroom, or kitchen can get quite boring! Why not try and spice up your appearance or backgrounds with the Snap camera app. Snap Camera offers you a variety of filters and effects that you can add to your face and background. There are a few that can also transform your face and background.
Setting Up Snap Camera
Download and Install the Snap Camera app from their website here (available for PC & Mac). After you have installed the app, open it so that you can see yourself in the camera viewer. Browse through or search for filters using the Search field and choose a filter you wish to use. Once you’ve chosen a filter, open Zoom and join or start a meeting. When you’re on the video screen, change the camera source Zoom will use. Click on the arrow that appears next to the Start Video button and select Snap Camera to switch from the default camera to the app camera.
Changing The Filters
Click on Start Video to turn your video on and you should see your face with the Snap Camera filter you applied. You can also change the filter at any time during your Zoom call. We recommend having the Snap Camera app next to the Zoom app so you can easily switch between your meeting and filters if needed.
By clicking a different filter in Snap Camera, the filter will be applied to your face or background in Zoom. Easily turn off the filter by just clicking on the same filter again. You can also quickly turn off Snap Camera altogether by just closing the Snap Camera app. Go back to your Zoom video, click the arrow next to the Video button, and switch the video source back to your main camera.
