The most highly anticipated day for the tech world has arrived. Apple have introduced their new products, and my oh my, it did not disappoint. From new iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches, there’s a lot to unpack! 

So let’s not waste any more time. Here’s the scoop on all the latest features these newest models have to offer:

 

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max

 

The high-end models of the year, these devices have a new front design with a smaller cutout for the front-facing camera which expands the device’s screen. Apple calls the cutout a “dynamic island” and it can essentially display notifications or other information, such as sports scores (the real important stuff).

Here are some of the iPhone 14 Pro’s innovative features: 

  • An always-on display which doesn’t turn off when not in use
  • A new low-power mode to make the battery life last longer
  • Crash detection to detect a severe car crash and automatically dial emergency services
  • An A16 Bionic chip
  • A 48-megapixel camera thanks to a bigger sensor
  • Better low-light photography
  • Redesigned flash

 

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus

 

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come in two sizes, 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, and are designed with an array of state-of-the-art features. Let’s take a closer look: 

  • True-tone OLED display
  • Improved battery life
  • Ceramic screens that are more durable
  • Better low-light performance on the front-facing camera
  • Action Mode that stabilises video
  • Safety service called Emergency SOS via Satellite that can connect to emergency services

 

New AirPods Pro

 

The new wireless earbuds with noise-cancelling capabilities feature improved sound quality and clarity thanks to an upgraded Apple H2 chip.

New features also include: 

  • New touch control to adjust the volume
  • Longer battery life with up to 6 hours of listening time
  • An extra-small ear tip
  • A speaker added to the case
  • Can be charged with MagSafe chargers

 

 Apple Watch Ultra

 

Aimed at outdoor athletes, the Apple Watch Ultra is a new high-end watch with a new design, bigger screen, and titanium case. 

This adventure buddy features as much as 60 hours of battery life, more information, including a compass and a new orange “action” button for quick use. 

 

New Apple Watch SE

 

A lower-cost version of its mainline Series 8, the new Apple Watch SE has been redesigned. 

This year’s model includes:

  • A bigger screen
  • A new plastic design on the underside of the watch
  • Heart rate notifications
  • Fall detection

 

Apple Watch Series 8 

 

Featuring innovative technology, the Apple Watch Series 8 is more durable than previous models and has a new temperature sensor that can be used to help monitor health data, including ovulation. 

Like the iPhone 14, it features a new safety feature powered by two motion sensors. The new car crash detection can detect if you were in a severe car crash and automatically call emergency services.
