How to Take a Screenshot on Android
Let’s start with the basics. This works on practically all Android devices across the board. Just press and hold the Power Button + Volume Down until the screen flashes. If the screenshot was taken, you’ll see a small preview thumbnail in the corner of the screen. It’s as easy as that!
Take Scrolling Screenshots
You know when you want to take a screenshot of more than what appears on the screen? Well gone are the days of multiple screenshots for just one recipe or DIY task- you can now take a ‘scrolling screenshot’ to capture a full webpage.
It’s pretty simple. All you need to do is take a normal screenshot and then select the scrolling screenshot icon on the thumbnail preview. Now you will have the option to scroll more to capture more, or be presented with a crop-able version of the full page. Yay!
Take a Screenshot With Your Voice
Now, this has to be the easiest way to capture a screenshot, you don’t even have to touch the screen or press any buttons. Google Assistant can take screenshots with just a command. All you need to do is say, “Hey Google, take a screenshot.” – The screenshot will be captured, and you’ll immediately see the options to share, edit, or delete the screenshot.
Tap the Back of Your Phone to Take a Screenshot
This next one is a pretty nifty shortcut if you take a lot of screenshots. All you have to do is tap the back of your phone! On Pixel devices, you can do this from Settings > System > Gestures > Quick Tap. However, if you have another device, you may need to download an app called “Tap, Tap” to perform the same function (and more).
